Grampa's Woodshop
After working in the corporate jungle for the better part of my working life, I have decided to spend my retirement years doing what I have be doing as a hobby all those years, and that is to build/renovate homes and build wood furniture. It gave me great relief from the stress filled environment to be able to work with my hands as a craftsperson, and i took great pride in the results that I was able to produce. I do not confess to be an artist of any kind, as those gifted people are few and far between, but rather a craftsperson like the rest of us in our own unique ways. I believe we have all been blessed with talents and have been blessed with a modest skill set to produce wood furniture which coincides with what I love doing; building with wood.
So in 2017, I took the step to start building plans for projects that I found interesting and challenging. It took the better part of a year to prepare the initial projects I thought were viable and ready the woods needed to produce. The categories and products being produced are based on prototypes I have built thus far, and although I wish I could say most of what is produced have a track record of standing the test of time, the fact is I can't say that. It is only thru experience, research, collaboration and common sense that I could design/build these products s and hope they last both materially and from quality of workmanship.
As a one man operation, I normally will not build products on speculation, but accept only custom orders. Each project requires a significant amount of time as I have to manage all aspects of the business and aspects of production, therefore orders for the products will have to be estimated for delivery time. This is an old school business model in the context of today's busy world but it is a business model that works for me and know that the quality and uniqueness of the products will benefit you greatly as well.
My thanks for visiting my website and hope that we can work together to build your unique project in the future.
