Dock Side Three Paddle Sport Unit with Pedal Boat Option - Designed for your canoe, kayaks and/or paddle boards, and now your paddle boat
This is a new design for those cottagers who not only want a rack to manage their canoe, kayaks and paddle boards; but now their pedal boat. Most pedal boats are pulled up on shore after usage and can fill with water if it rains. They are often stored leaning against a tree he wind blowing them over.
The new Dockside Three w/ Pedal Boat feature rack allow you to store your pedal boat in the same location as your canoe, kayaks and paddle boards; be stored on it's side to prevent water from resting in the seat/pedal area; and allow you to secure it so the wind doesn't blow it arond causing damage.
The rack is made from Eastern White cedar which is an excellent wood for external use and has anti-rotting and anti-insect/termite properties. Ground support blocks are attached to the horizontal bottom supports to keep them out of the moisture in the ground. also extending the longevity of the rack.
The end supports are 72 inches apart on center, has 40 inch support arms for the paddle boards/kayaks, is approximately 72 inches high and 72 inches wide. It is constructed using Mortise and Tenons joints which are glued/screwed to provide the strength to support your canoes, kayaks and/or paddleboards.
Each support arm and pedal boat rest arm has been planed so that a 3/8" thick strip of HDPE (aka hockey board) can optionally be attached to prevent any scratches to your paddle sports equipment or the wood support arms.
The support rack can optionally be finished with a marine spar urethane which provides excellent weather protection and allows for the beauty of the cedar to be seen and offers a long lasting beautiful finish.
We also provide anchor supports on each arm as an option, which allows you to secure your paddle sports units to the support rack.
Finally, we can provide ground tie downs for your paddle sport rack. A support rack fully loaded with kayaks/paddle boards/pedal boats can in effect become a sail in areas exposed to wind. Therefore it is advised that the paddle sport rack be anchored to the ground.
The price quoted is for a support rack with no options. It does not include any staining / urethaning, unit tie down anchors, ground tie down anchors, or the HDPE hockey board on the support arms.

The customer is encouraged to pick up the rack at our woodshop, but if delivery is required, then we charge $0.75 per kilometer both ways.
