This queen size cedar frame bed is made from eastern white cedar which has amazing character, charm and warmth.
It rails were designed to be higher than the standard 25" bed height to accommodate the larger box springs and pillow-top mattresses commonly used today. Plus its easier to get out of and into for seniors and people with joint issues.
The headboard insert picture used is a scenic northern landscape of deer and geese overlooking a beautiful lake at sunset. However, the picture included can be changed to any graphic/photo you desire. If you have a special landscape photo or a personal photo that you want placed on the insert (in a vector format), then it can be printed on the headboard insert. This is part of the base cost.
Optionally, another photo can be placed on the reverse side of the insert and you can flip the insert to provide variety; i.e. seasonal landscapes, animal selections, family scenes... This additional backdrop is available for $150.00.
The base cost does not provide any finish, however, I normally use a semi-gloss spar urethane to protect the wood and allow the natural beauty of the wood to show thru.
The three coats of spar urethance can be purchased for an additional $250.00
The bedding, mattress and boxspring are NOT included.
